On Valentine’s Day we will join host Flatbed Press in support of The Contemporary Print Fair Gala benefiting the Serie Project.  In our gallery, located in the Flatbed Building, we invite Gala guests to stop by and enjoy the photogravures of Christa Blackwood: Silver and Ink after hours from 6-9pm.

Look for Christa’s interview with Jeanne Claire van Ryzin in today’s issue of the Austin American Statesman.

On the 14th, Flatbed Gala guests may also see International Printmakers, curated  by Karen Kunc, at Gallery Shoal Creek. This exhibit brings together seven artists from diverse backgrounds and experiences. All embrace exploration and experimentation and in unison provide a global overview of contemporary printmaking.

A Preview Gala of the 2014 Flatbed Contemporary Print Fair to benefit the Serie Project, in memory of its founder Sam Coronado, features booths of twenty-five professional printmakers, publishers and university programs from across the state of Texas.  The print fair participants will be showing and selling their works to the public. The Gala features Valentine treats, drinks and hands-on Valentine printmaking  in the Flatbed studio.  $10 donation for adults.  Children under 12 free.  Tickets also available at the door.

We appreciate the hard work from everyone involved in PrintAustin 2014 for coordinating so many successful events such as these in the past few weeks.  We look forward to PrintAustin 2015.
